Recording a meeting

Learn how to record a meeting on eyre.ai, where your recordings are stored, and who can access them.

How to record a meeting #

  1. Start or join the meeting you want to record as the host.
  2. In the meeting toolbar, select Record.
  3. All participants see a recording indicator, so everyone knows the session is being recorded.
  4. To stop, select Stop Recording, or the recording ends automatically when the meeting ends.

Only the host and co-hosts can start or stop a recording.

Where your recordings are stored #

Your recordings are stored on Canadian infrastructure, keeping your meeting data within Canada.

Recordings are kept for 90 days by default, after which they are archived. Storage limits depend on your plan — see Plans and Pricing.

Who can access your recordings #

By default, the meeting host can access the recording. The host can then share access with others.

  1. To view: open Meeting History in your dashboard and select the meeting.
  2. To share: select Share and choose who can access it.
  3. To download: select Download.

Access follows your organization’s role-based permissions — see Role-Based Access for how roles control who can view, share, and download.

Recordings and encryption #

Recorded meetings are not end-to-end encrypted. Recording requires meeting content to be processed and stored, so the end-to-end encryption that protects live AI-off meetings does not apply to recordings.

For a fully end-to-end encrypted meeting, run it with AI off and without recording.

Notifying participants #

Everyone in the meeting is shown a recording indicator. As a matter of good practice, make sure participants are aware a session is being recorded before you start.

Deleting a recording #

To delete a recording, open Meeting History, select the meeting, and choose Delete.
